Dalmain Primary School is a great choice for Kindergarten students. The Dalmain Primary School Early Childhood team focuses on the development of Social, Emotional and Physical well-being of the students in their care. There is a strong emphasis on the development of Literacy and Numeracy skills and on fostering positive attitudes towards learning.

Enrolment FAQs

In Western Australia, children can start their education in Kindergarten, however compulsory schooling starts the following year in Pre-primary. You need to apply to enrol your children in school if they are:

  • starting Kindergarten – 4 years old by 30 June
  • starting Pre-primary, the first year of compulsory school – 5 years old by 30 June

You can find out what year your children need to start school with the school-age calculator found here.

You need to complete an enrolment application form if:

  • You are enrolling a child in Kindergarten for the following year.
  • You are enrolling a child in Pre-primary for the following year.
  • You are enrolling a child in Year 7 at a new school for the following year.
  • You are enrolling a child transferring from another school in any year level.

Submitting an application for enrolment does not guarantee you will receive a place at the school. Dalmain Primary School will notify you in writing of the outcome of your application.
